Steam Is King!

At Sandwell we love new high tech HVAC systems, but even more than that is our love for good old reliability! If you have ever lived in a house that utilized steam heat, you know that the warmth produced by these units is incomparable. A well maintained steam system can be comfortable and efficient. Steam boilers can last a very long time, so if the installation date on the boiler itself seems old, that does not necessarily mean it needs to be replaced. When looking at our customer base, homes that have steam boilers, whether gas or oil, have equipment that is on average almost twice as old. Boiler’s usually last a very long time, but it’s worth it to make sure everything is working, and that there aren’t any water or steam leaks. The key to keeping these units alive and running efficiently is having a skilled knowledgeable technician working on it. Don’t leave your Steam Boiler to the hands of an unexperienced parts changing sales technician.
